“Monggo Pinarak” di De Wallen


“Cup, masak aku disuruh pinarak sama yang cantik,” Puput terbirit-birit menghampiri saya sambil mendorong stroller Oliq. Hidungnya kembang-kempis bangga.

Sekilas pengalaman kami datang ke Red Lights District di Amsterdam, Belanda. Kawasan prostitusi ini dikenal dengan nama demikian karena secara harfiah daerah ini memang penuh lampu merah. Gang-gang menggurita mengikuti kontur kanal yang memang menjadi ciri khas ibukota Belanda.

Karena rasa penasaran, baru pertama kali ke Amsterdam, De Wallen otomatis masuk ke agenda. Sore itu, sebelum matahari tenggelam, kami memutuskan untuk berjalan dari apartemen di Prinshenrikkade ke Red-Lights District.
